Today, India is the fifth-largest electronic waste producer in the world. E-waste recycling is undoubtedly a profitable business these days. Everybody uses electronic gadgets these days, and their models change very fast. Indians are quite prosperous now, and so they can afford to buy new versions of mobile phones, laptops, etc. That’s the reason e-waste generation is increasing too much every year in India. E-waste business is done in a very organised way in India. Small town e-waste collectors sell their electronic scrap to big e-waste dealers in big cities such as Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chandigarh, and Delhi, etc.
Every major Indian city has specific e-scrap markets, but it is impossible to reach all the e-waste traders there. They are located in different parts of the city, mostly on the outskirts. Delhi is the main market for e-waste. Almost 70% of the e-waste generated in India comes from Delhi.

Hyderabad: At Charminar, a Sunday scrap market is held where so many e-scrap dealers can be contacted.
