Gold content in BGA chips/How much Gold in BGA Chips/How much Gold in Green Chips

How much gold is in one kilo of BGA chips? Well, the answer is quite a lot. You get 7 grammes of gold per kilo. But here, you have to be very careful about one particular thing. And that is why you get this yield from Intel BGA chips. If it is quite an old batch from Korea or Taiwan, you can get up to 3 grammes of gold per kilo. But BGA chips from Chinese motherboards have a very low yield. You won’t believe you don’t even get half a gramme of gold from the current Chinese BGA chips per kilo. We get BGA chips from Rams also. From those chips, we get around 3 grammes of gold per kilo. Some rams have normal chips. Their current yield is 1.1 grammes of gold per kilo.

In my next post, I will explain the process of gold recovery from BGA chips.

How to set up an E-waste Recycling Plant/Facility/E-waste Recycling Plant

Start electronic scrap recycling and get rich soon. This is one of the world’s best businesses these days because it is a metal business. You get gold, silver, palladium, platinum, copper, lead, tin, aluminium, and so many rare metals from this.

The first and foremost thing to do before starting a business is to look for sources of raw materials at a very good price. The best thing about this business is that e-waste generation is increasing by the day.

The second important factor is to decide the size of the plant according to your budget. The third is the area of the land. The fourth and most important aspect is the machinery selection. The best electronic scrap recycling machines are either from Germany or Italy. China also makes electronic waste recycling plants, but they are not as durable as those in Germany and Italy. Some Turkish companies also sell these plants. They, too, are not as satisfactory as their manufacturers claim them to be. So, do thorough research before buying the electronic waste recycling machines.

After this come the skilled chemists and engineers. Most of the plants fail just because their consultants, chemists, engineers, and the management team as a whole lack expertise in the field.

Another important aspect to keep in mind is that you shouldn’t start the facility right away. I mean to say, gain some experience first. You can either work in a recycling facility to fully understand the nature of the business or start it on a small scale. This strategy has the benefit of allowing you to understand all of the business's ups and downs. You can even start as a dismantler. Even if you experience some loss, it will be significantly less than what you might experience if you were to start the plant without any experience.

The secret I am going to reveal to you now is that inexperienced people are not able to decide what material to process and what not. Whereas experienced people only recycle the stuff that makes more profit. I receive so many calls from people in the process of setting up the e-waste recycling facility almost every week, telling me their consultant has advised them to recycle computer motherboards only. And I pray to God for their mental equilibrium in the time to come.

So, it is undoubtedly a good business, but you need to take into account so many aspects before starting an e-waste facility. This topic is very big, so I will keep providing you with very useful information on it in parts.

I hope you like the tips that I have given. It is the result of my thirty years of experience in this field.

Silver Recovery Raw Materials/Recover silver from Old Pots/Extract Silver from X-rays/Silver Plated Material

How to recover silver, what is the silver recovery process, how to extract silver, and how to recover silver from an x-ray film

All these keywords used on different search engines indicate people’s quest to learn the silver recovery process and make money. I receive a lot of phone calls and emails in which people ask me about the silver recovery process, either from X-ray films or from a fixer solution. It portrays that the majority of people who are interested in the silver recovery process are of the opinion that there are only two things from which you can recover the silver. But it is not so. There is a long list of items from which you can recover silver and make money. I would like to mention a few of them.

Apart from x-ray films and fixer solution, you can also recover silver from ultrasound films, compact discs, diodes (electronic components), silver-coated connectors mostly used in the electronic industry, silver-coated wires, mirrors, mobile tower boxes, electrical contacts, silver-plated bathroom accessories, crockery, silver-oxide batteries, solar panels, old coins, etc.

The best thing about them is that they are available in good quantity. And you can start this business with a little investment and make a living out of it. And it is quite easy to recover silver from them.

Some people find it hard to trust. However, they are unaware that industrial applications utilise half of the annual silver consumption. Therefore, recycling silver from such items is undoubtedly a profitable business.

For further assistance on this matter, you can write to me through our contact form on this blog.

Recover Gold from Electronic Scrap/E-waste Recycling for Gold/Recover Gold from Rams/Gold Recovery from Computer Parts

Gold recovery from electronic scrap is a very lucrative business. But you must find the right source to buy the material. Because there are two things to consider when you start this business: Number one, you should choose the right methods to recover all precious metals from electronic waste (e-waste). Number two: you should also be good at purchasing the material. Being good at only one thing won’t help.

When we talk about electronic scrap, it is not one big thing. It is a mixture of either so many electronic circuit boards or a variety of whole devices. The best thing about it, according to my experience, is that you should not process everything. You should be careful if you want to make more money in a short time. When we talk about precious metal recovery from electronic scrap, it is not every component of the scrap that yields precious metals. Only specific components require the use of precious metals. For example, chips, processors, golden fingers, gold-plated connectors, some special diodes and transistors, monolithic ceramic capacitors and relays, etc.

If you happen to buy a mixed lot of electronic scrap, you should first segregate the items. Now, one by one, take away the above-mentioned precious metal-bearing components. There are customers for almost everything that you get from e-waste. So, you can sell the rest of the items (non-gold-bearing ones) to the e-waste recyclers.

There are tests that allow you to determine the presence of various precious metals. For example, if you think that a particular component is silver-plated,. You can first put a drop of nitric acid on it, followed by a drop of hydrochloric acid. If there is silver, either in the form of alloy or polish, there will be a curd-like formation on the surface of the metal. For gold, you can put a drop of nitric acid on a component or a piece of metal that looks like gold. Gold does not react with nitric acid. It stays as it is. If it is copper, brass, etc., nitric acid will react and dissolve the metal. In the same way, there are methods for testing palladium and platinum as well.

You can remove gold polish from the components through an AP process. CPU's and processors are best treated for gold recovery with aqua regia. Gold can be removed from the pins through sulfuric cells, too.

In my next article, we will discuss some precious metal recovery methods in detail.

CPU-Processor Gold Recovery/Gold Extraction from CPUs/ Recover Gold from Processors

There are numerous methods for recovering CPU gold. Some people crush the entire CPU into powder and then separate the metals from the powder using density separation. However, in my view, this method is not optimal as it results in the loss of precious metals. CPUs contain gold, palladium, silver, etc. People normally think that you get only gold from the processors. It is not true. If you look at them closely, you will see MLCCs on them. MLCCs (Monolithic Ceramic Capacitors) contain palladium, silver, and gold.

So, the best gold recovery method for CPUs and processors is to recover gold through aqua regia. You should first remove MLCCs from the processors and store these small capacitors safely for silver, gold, and palladium recovery in the future when they are in enough quantity. Now break the processors into smaller pieces with a hammer. Prepare the aqua regia solution. The aqua regia solution is one part nitric acid and three parts hydrochloric acid. You should use a heat-resistant glass pot to do so. First, put the broken processors in the pot, and then pour some aqua regia into it. The aqua regia solution will start dissolving pins, including gold. Do it in an open space or a properly ventilated room, and use safety gear.

Separate the solution from the solids after the reaction has stopped completely. Now you need to neutralise this gold-bearing aqua regia solution. You can also use urea for this. Add some urea to the solution, and there will be a lot of fizzing. There will be lots of foam. After some time, the foam will disappear. Again, add some more urea to the solution. The foam will form on the surface and subside quickly. Keep repeating it till the foam starts taking longer to subside. If foams take too long to subside, stop adding urea to the solution. Now your solution is neutralized. Filter this solution and recover your gold with sodium metabisulfite (SMB).

How to Recover Silver from Silver Nitrate Solution?

When silver reacts with nitric acid (HNO3), silver nitrate is formed. Silver metal can be easily recovered from silver nitrate (AgNo3). First, filter the silver nitrate solution so that all the unwanted material is removed from it and we get a better quality of silver. Take a plastic pot and fill it with all the silver nitrate. Now start adding HCL (hydrochloric acid) to it in small increments. The moment you add HCL to silver nitrate solution, silver begins to separate in the form of silver chloride. Keep adding HCL to the solution till there is no more silver separating from the silver nitrate solution.

Silver chloride (AgCl) is a curd-like silver compound in appearance. It precipitates immediately. Give it around half an hour to settle to the bottom completely. Heavier particles settle immediately, and lighter ones take some time to go to the bottom. After that, tilt the pot to separate the liquid from the silver chloride. At least twice, wash the silver chloride with plain water. Now dissolve some glucose in the plain water and keep it in a plastic can. Add some quantity of this glucose water to silver chloride. And stir around the silver chloride with a glass rod. Silver chloride will start converting to metallic silver. Keep doing it slowly until all the silver chloride has changed into silver. Now put this silver on a filter paper or filter cloth so that all the water should filter out of it. You can leave it for a night. By morning, there will be no or little moisture left in the silver. You can dry it on a lighter flame in a glass pot and melt it.

How to Recover Gold from GPC Solution Tutorial/Gold Recovery Method from GPC Solution/Gold Extraction from GPC Solution

Gold recovery from GPC (Gold Potassium Cyanide) solutions is a very profitable business. I am going to give you a very easy process for gold recovery from a potassium cyanide solution. Zinc dust can easily recover gold from this solution. It is a metal displacement theory.

Heat the solution to around 60 degrees Celsius. You may either use a PVC, plastic, or glass container for it. You can use a glass heater to heat the solution. Add five to ten grammes of (325 mesh) zinc dust per ter. Stir the solution with a glass rod for about five minutes, at least five times, with a gap of one hour between each time. Leave the solution for a night. But make sure the solution remains hot throughout the night. Zinc dust will displace all the gold from the solution by morning. Pour out all the liquid into another container, leaving behind the gold dust.

This gold dust has some zinc impurities in it. So, it needs to be refined. On a lighter flame, you treat it with dilute sulfuric or nitric acid for five to ten minutes. This treatment will produce some smoke. So, use a properly ventilated place for it. During the reaction, bubbles come to the surface, break, and give out smoke of a green color. It is an indication of the zinc dust being dissolved in the acid. The bubbles and green smoke completely cease when the gold dust undergoes refinement. Wash this refined gold dust with water three to four times. Dry it and melt it into a gold button.

Note: I have uploaded a video regarding it on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/uroojmetals.

The comments and emails that I receive from people suggest that I am talking about producing a GPC (gold potassium cyanide) solution for gold recovery. It is not that. GPC is used in gold plating on different materials, such as artificial jewellery, water taps, door handles, and many more things. Some companies don’t recover gold from the spent-up cyanide solutions. They prefer to sell it to outsiders. Therefore, this video is for those who want to make money through GPC by purchasing it from the gold plating plants. You can really make a lot of money by recovering gold from this exhausted GPC solution. Please use safety gear if you do this process.

If you want to discuss some other things with me regarding it, you may send us an email through oue contact form on our blog.
